Hoje é dia dezanove de setembro, quinta-feira da vigésima quarta semana do tempo comum.
Há frases de uma rara beleza
que, de um modo denso e breve,
expõem a verdade de nós mesmos,
a nossa vocação mais nobre.
Hoje, começa a tua oração
escutando uma dessas sentenças,
pronunciada por São Paulo
na sua primeira Carta aos Coríntios:
«Tudo é vosso: o mundo, a vida e a morte,
as coisas presentes e as futuras.
Tudo é vosso;
mas vós sois de Cristo,
e Cristo é de Deus».
Escuta esta passagem do Evangelho segundo São Lucas.
Lc 7, 36-50
Um fariseu convidou Jesus para comer com ele.
Jesus entrou em casa do fariseu e tomou lugar à mesa.
Então, uma mulher – uma pecadora que vivia na cidade –
ao saber que Ele estava à mesa em casa do fariseu,
trouxe um vaso de alabastro com perfume;
pôs-se atrás de Jesus e, chorando muito,
banhava-lhe os pés com as lágrimas e enxugava-lhos com os cabelos,
beijava-os e ungia-os com o perfume.
Ao ver isto, o fariseu que tinha convidado Jesus pensou consigo:
«Se este homem fosse profeta,
saberia que a mulher que o toca é uma pecadora».
Jesus tomou a palavra e disse-lhe: «Simão, tenho uma coisa a dizer-te». (…)
E voltando-se para a mulher, disse a Simão:
«Vês esta mulher?
Entrei em tua casa e não me deste água para os pés;
mas ela banhou-me os pés com as lágrimas e enxugou-os com os cabelos.
Não me deste o ósculo;
mas ela, desde que entrei, não cessou de beijar-me os pés.
Não me derramaste óleo na cabeça;
mas ela ungiu-me os pés com perfume.
Por isso te digo: São-lhe perdoados os seus muitos pecados, porque muito amou;
mas aquele a quem pouco se perdoa, pouco ama».
Depois disse à mulher: «Os teus pecados estão perdoados».
Então os convivas começaram a dizer entre si:
«Quem é este homem, que até perdoa os pecados?».
Mas Jesus disse à mulher: «A tua fé te salvou. Vai em paz».
Nesta história há como que duas refeições a acontecer em simultâneo. A primeira é uma refeição material, preparada por Simão que convida Jesus; a outra refeição é preparada por Jesus, que acolhe a prostituta arrependida e a alimenta com o seu perdão. Imagina o Evangelho e identifica estas duas atitudes.
Simão já tem a sua verdade feita e por isso condena Jesus. Não é livre, nada o pode tocar. Ao invés, Jesus abre o seu coração e por isso não condena, deixa-se tocar, chegando assim a tocar a mulher com o seu perdão.
Que luz trazem estas atitudes sobre o teu coração?
Nem sempre vivemos afinados com as atitudes do coração de Cristo.
Desejas ter os mesmos sentimentos de Jesus? Pede-lhe que te atraia para que tenhas um coração semelhante ao d’Ele.
Lembra-te que o Senhor te deseja envolver e agasalhar com o seu perdão e ternura. Os sacramentos são uma extensão e atualização desse desejo divino. Conversa com Jesus sobre o modo como a Eucaristia e a Confissão te podem ajudar a experimentar, de modo renovado, essa proximidade que cura e salva.
